Curbside recycling pickup was suspended after Ike so crews could focus on storm cleanup. According to the Chronicle, your overflowing container will be emptied as usual.

The City of Houston recently sent out a notice that there will be changes for how heavy trash is handled for our area. Heavy trash day will now be either "Tree Waste" or "Junk Waste", but not both. The schedule will alternate each month starting in October for "Junk". After that, November will be "Tree waste", December will be "Junk Waste" and so on.

We continue to make progress with community involvement with this project. We often receive reports from residents about reporting and preventing crime in the neighborhood.
